Repairing cultural monuments

Specialists of NORDWEG JSC continually applied their skills and METALOCK technology for restoring monuments that are part of the country’s architectural heritage.

It’s not a secret that old cast-iron structures are prone to crevice formation during mechanical impact or under the influence of atmospheric factors. It is also related to cast-iron structures in old bridges and buildings.

Only the use of METALOCK technology enables to fully exclude the temperature impact on damaged structures which can lead to further diffusion of crevices, and at the same time fully restore the density of structures and their original appearance.

Vivid examples of performed works in the field of restoration are:

• repair of cast-iron tubings of the Pevchesky Bridge and restoration work for restoring lost bridge facing panels;
• restoration of the fencing shield of the Catherine Park in the state memorial estate Tsarskoye Selo;
• restoration of the bearing capacity of semi-archs of the Rossi bridge in Mikhailovsky garden;
• restoration of the railing of the Anichkov Bridge;
• restoration of the bearing capacity of the cast-iron arches of the Blue Bridge across the Moika River.
